| (this is an email I sent to my friends, but I thought it was pretty good a resume of whats going on here, so I'll post it here too)
HELLOUUUUU!!!!!
I started my year at an american university between Seattle and Vancouver this september! :D wohoooo
its called Western Washington University, in a small town called Bellingham! :D
you can see where I live (i live on campus, in something like apartments but in a dorm, which menas we have young neighbours but we have a kitchen)

Its like in the middle of the forest, I live at the other side of th hill, so its 20 mins through the forest to get to the main buildings :D I really enjoy it. I thought I wouldnt like it because I love big cities, but it looks great so far :)
Yesterday I saw the football team (american football) training... :D *drool* Even though I know they are stupid, I still like'em! hehehe
I live with 3 other girls, all of them are american, and my roommate is great. She's crazy, but very nice :) I also hang out a lot with all the foreign people, french, english, australian, dutch! ^_^ But no cute guys so far.. i think.
Went to a few parties this last weekend. Also had a barbecue with the foreign students, and went kayaking in the lake :o I loved it!!!
You can see i am all excited.
Anyways, about my lessons... rrrr I have Japanese 1st year, which is really fun, mostly because I love to learn new languages, then Computer Science 112 (HTML & XML) which is BOOOORING! and the teacher is french so I can't understand what he sayssss grrrrrr then Management Information Systems 314 which is about ASP, dynamic web pages (he's obsessed with Amazon) which is also quite boring. He made as buy a book about learning ASP in 21 days... and thats what he teaches... so whats the point on going to his classes!!!! The book has better examples than him grrr
and then Computer Science 351 which is about Windows programming, its quite interesting :) but hard, cause its in C++ and C# and all i've done is C.
so.. this is all I can tell for now. Wather was quite nice till yesterday, it started raining, and i think thats gonna keep like that for months :S
About boys... no cute gusy so far.. i see them in the computer labs, in redsquare, but none go to my classes! whyyyyy!!!
Oh, I also go to the Fitness Center, we registered for Funk Aerobics which turned out to not be Aerobics, but Stripdance :S (we don't have to strip... yet)
So, here I am in Bellingham, having a great time but missing spanish food and weather! :S
Because im not 21 i am not allowed to drink or go into the bars!:S when someone doesnt let you do something you are free to do in your homecountry, you find yourself thinking all the time about that.. :S thank God they make parties at their houses hehehe typical american party!! wohooo | comments: 7 comments or Leave a comment   |

I am so excited! :D I thought about writing an email to Co, Mo, and some classmates and friends, but now I see I have no time grrrr so i'll write as soon as I get a computer :) And post again hehe
Im bouncing and dancing all over the room, and my dinner is getting cold, so, I gottago! (Wake up tomorrow at 6am!!!)

| ARRRRR!
Everything is a complete messssss I haven't even registered for classes, which is good cause I don't even know which ones I am going to take!! :S *heart attack*
Clothes and stuff everywhere....!!! And I KNOW it won't fit in those 2 huge suitcases!!! sigh
My mother is driving me crazy telling me to do that and this and what I should and shouldn't do over there aaargghh. And yesterday: Ainhoa, please, don't be so stupid to do drugs!
MOM! please, I am 20, if I haven't done them yet, why would I start now???? If I lived a whole summer in Amsterdam almost inside a coffeshop and I didn't smoke, then I think I'm safe!
So, in less than 3 days I'll be on a plane, 17 hours of flight and then in Seattle! WOHOOO!!!! I'm a bit scared in fact! :S Really scared. I'm afraid things won't turn up as I expect. I am mostly scared about courses. I am getting into some that I'm not sure I'll be able to handle... I mean, I have learnt C (more or less :S ), and I'm taking a course which uses C++.... Jesus... I think I'll have this face o_O the whole lesson. I hope everything goes right *crosses fingers*
and, Co: I might have the oportunity to take japanese lessons! WOHOOOO!!! :) Only problem is that I only need 3 credits, and japanese is 5, so it might be too much work, might decide to take something easier.
I'll try to make a little update before leaving! :)

I love the olympic games!!!! :)
Na ja.... Spain lost against USA (basketball) not fair.. but both played really well.
Spain lost against Germany (handball), it really upset me and I was a bit sad, cause they were fighting till the end, both of them, you could see the spanish team really suffering and some of them injured o_O it took them 2 prorogues and germany had to win in the final goals (penaltis??). The goalkeepers were just awesome, both of them :) So no medals for the nadball team, basketball, and waterpolo team. It's sad, cause they are really good on those sports, I suppose spaniards have never been too lucky hahaha
Above that, I love olympic games because of the amount of hot guys :D:D:D I was awaken to a world full of hot boyzzz And I mean hot, not handsome, I mean wonderful bodies :D (yeah yeah, i know they are athletes!!!)

Shit. I'm on holidays. I'm a total vague. Lazy person. Doing nothing whole day feels so good. Not even boring... 7 out of 10 times i mean. I'd start to get bored right now if it weren't because I am worrying 24 hrs a day!!!! ACK!!!! I hate this I hate this uni shit. Always thinking: will the wwu let me take this courses? If they don't I am fucked, how do I register at my home university? so confusing again (put this and that in that enveloppe but dont put it in the pink one, that could be a fatal mistake!! grrrr), can I make the project at the USA and that way NOT waste a whole year doing it at my home university? ah, who knows, for sure I do not. shit shit. Even if the wwu offers me a project, Im fucked anyways cause I cant register on a project at my home university till I pass all my subjects. yeah whatever. But yeah, I can do it while I take all the courses and register after juni. But then I have to pre-register. But then... but then.. aaaarggggghhhhhhhhh KILL ME! | yeah, for those who thought I died during summer holidays :P
I'm not a good everything-that-happened-to-me-during-holidays writer, nor I do have time for it, though I love to tell every detail to my friends, so I'm just gonna give a big resume :)
4 july : Parents take me to the airport at BCN and I take the train to AMS 1 hour late grrrr THE ADVENTURE STARTS! After taking 2 trains, getting helped by a cute dutch guy and seeing a drunk guy at the station and thinking the taxidriver is taking me through the land to kidnapp me I finnally arrive :) Happy to see friends again :D
So, in short words, HOLLAND: Everybody knows that, with no particular reason, I just love that country and specially amsterdam (though I didnt really go this time). I'll always remember Co hating me for always saying 'I don't mind', Co's crazy classmates, anime minicon, Spiderman-2 and our particular spiderman, Shrek 2, going bowling hahahaaha, gourmet thinggie, cocktails thinggie, Utrecht, and so many other crazy things :D (oh yeah, and Co's food hehe)
16 july: After having spent 2 weeks at Co's place THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUU (bows to great Corona) and sorry for being so annoying :P and 20% energy sucker (or was it more?) I take the train from almelo to Amsterdam and then the Thalys to Paris. At Paris I have to take the metro!! (ACK! My city doesnt have metro, and I hadn't have used une for 3 years) so, without getting lost I arrived to The Opera were my friend was waiting for me :D YAY Then go to her appartment, u can see the Eiffel Tower from the windod :D
PARIS: Great city as always :) I'll remember my walks alone through the city, crazy Sacre-Coeur waiters, yummy and cheap cocktails, great pasta restaurant, nice market, weird chinese supermarket, great sales everywhere, and everything to be too expensive! Get some grades next monday, but some of us wont be here, I am going with some classmates to my uncle's house at the "beach", in Santander. Co might remember it hahahaaha
Also Co may remember how small that house is, and I still dont know how are we going to fit 8 persons inside! :S
Going there on the 27th, coming back on the 30th, then by car with my parents to Madrid on the 1st july, to do my visa to the USA and visit my uncle and his familly coming back on the 2nd cause on the 4th I leave to Holland! :S OMG Too bussyyyyyy!!!!!

Only 1 more week to go!!! YAYAYAAAA :/
I can't put myself to study.. nor that I've studied much till today! :S
So far I've passed all the exams we knoe the grades of. So, YAY ME! :) It's been pretty difficult and stressing, more than ever, and still 2 more exams and 1 assignment to end all this torture.
Oh, and why do I keep having problems with choosing the USA courses? It's so stupid! We do so many stupid and different things here in Spain it is a total mess to choose something that'll be convalidated. I hate theeeem!!! >:(
OOOH! For my bday I got a small digital camera! :) (not the very best but YAYAAYA!!!!) To send pics from USA:) So, till I'm over there, as soon as I find a place to host pics I'll post some :)

| I got this really kind email from a classmate. She's changing career next year, doesnt like computers (I understand her) and she loves kids, so she's joining the 'teachers' career :) So nice
So she wrote an email to a few of us telling us how neat we were and how we helped her through. And it was just awesome. So simple, so neat, so true, so nice. It was like wooo! realize there is someone out there who actually cares about things :) As she said, there are things one just never says, but should say.

Tomorrow exams start. In fact i'm quite relaxed, maybe cause my first 'theory' exam is on thursday (have a practice one on tuesday I know little about.. but well.. nothing I can do about that now).
And then 3 weeks of finals...sigh. The worst part though it the stupid final assignment I have to make, a data base in oracle. I hate that course. I just hate it, and relational algebra is killin' me. I understand nothing! And the database is going badly. 1 week to make it and I havent started yet, but thats not the problem, the problem is the documentation I have to make from it! SIGH!!!!! :/
Ok, ill stop the blah blah from exams problems we all have! haha
On other matters... there is someone new in my life now, and I feel happy about it, but somehow I feel this shouldnt be. Not now, not at this moment. Im leaving in 3 months and the last thing I'd like to happen is to fall in love with someone. Thank god thats not happening yet. | for more than a week, everywhere I look and every channel on Tv and every newspaper talk about the real wedding of this saturday. HEll man, what a headache!
Our "dear" prince is marrying a "journalist: aka not blue blood", L. O.
so what.
They spend millions of euros (yeah.... security is very expensive nowadays! and making beauty the WHOLE city of MADRID even more!!!) and apart from WE paying them their HUGE wedding with more than 2000 guests (of course not staying at the "little" palace the prince "built" for himself a few years ago) we have to STAND them on TV 23h a day! (1 h for football ;) ) and beware! Is still wednesday... saturday is gonna be hellllll thank god ill be studying.. totally unaware of the creepyness of this :/
And yeah, I'm republican! and even If I wasnt I'd think there are better ways of spending public money.

| feels like i'm in a "waiting" state this weeks. Waiting for WWU confirmation, for our summer holidays plans, for my other friends plans, for my cousin's baptism, for an email and some CDs that never arrive. Looks like everybody but me is in standby! :S
So, tonight gonna phone WWU to see if they finally answer me. And the letter I sent for working this summer at last years hotel.. well.. loks like it got lost in the internet. Doesn't really matter, cause I dont think I'll be able to go anyways. Also, waiting to confirm some summer holidays plans to see what can I do in august. I know I am a "culo inquieto" but really can't stop here in Pamplona in August. Is deadly bored. That is, in case I pass everything, which can always be a susprise. If I fail something, I'll be stuck here all august, but I suppose then I'll have something to do :S shit. hahaha
My uncle asked me to be my little cousin mother-in-baptism (madrina) (how do u call that in english???) in august. They live now in Colombia. So they offered us (cause my father is gonna be the padrino) a free flight to Colombia. BUT OH! My mom has 'claustrofobia', and doesnt want to get into a plane! ARGHHHHH (wonder why she can get into the elevator and into a bus!) My uncle had sais we could go the weekend to the beach! OMG to the Caribbean!!!!!!! I'm glad I went out yesterday!! hadn't had so much fun in a looong time! hahaahaha
first in the morning we went to "acuaerobic" pfffff shitty! I mean... God, we were tired at the end ahhh? AND no water in the showers! GRRRRRR So we went back home to get a shower and I just didnt move. Didnt go back to uni to go to the library, which I needed, so in the end I stayed home because Im a lazy ass and did nothing. Kill me. Java will kill me. Java & German. What a fine couple! >:(
So in the evening I was told some classmates were going to have dinner in another classmate's house, I was invited so, as always, I was late! And I was alone with a bunch of boys :S all of them older. sigh. MAAAANN did I have fun!! They are friggin' crazy!! I really laughed and had a greattttt time with'em! :D :D :D
Later we went out, find the other classmates and went to "our" bar. Dancing and more dancing, and even more! hahaah again, it was really good. When the bar closed (OHHHH THANK U OUR DEAR MAYOR!!! They used to close at 3:30 am, now at 2:30!!!!) we went to another bar, and somehow one of our guys got into a "fight" with another (who was pretty "high" with coca or speed or whatever), which ended quite soon cause our friend didn't hit back, thank God (the mad boy's friends were already with a broken bottle). So the night ended in quite caos.
On other matters... what's up with the americans??? GOD! I emailed the international coordinator at my HOST university for nex year 2 weeks ago, still hasnt replied. pffffff I'll email her again, or phone her. SHIT. HELLO Mrs Coordinator! I have to do the papers BEFORE 11th May!!! BEFORE <>AFTER! Or did u loose that chapter of Sesam Street?? grrrrr Oh well, whatever, probably it has been a mail failure and hasn't get any of my emails (yeah, in PLURAL) or she's too busy.

Yesterday, test! bleh. I know I won't pass... but... hope is the last thing we loose, right? ;)
Today. Ok. Went to German lessons. Then teacher gave me back a redaction. sigh. Kill me. More red than blue. Bloody. So he said, u are not gonna pass. o_O oook! I already knew that, but do u have to say it in the middle of the lesson???? He said i should re-study some old things (which yeah, i totally forgot or never learnt) but i said I dont have time. It's true. I just don't have! So he asked if im gonna take again german lessons next year, and I said NO!!! (For Christ sake NOOO!!!!!!)
he said if my exam is TOO bad then he won't be able to make me pass. OH THANK U.

So, does anybody have the inmense pleasure of teaching me prepositions, where and when to put them and their declinations?? pfffffffffffff Fuck it.

First week after holidays, after our little holidays in Amsterdam! (And already "studying"!)
All I can recall is sleeping too little, having loads of fun, laugh a lot of nasty dutch men and walking a lot around!
Also, most important, met all the friends there, and Co&Mo, who came to amsterdam just to go shopping with me! so cool! :D It was really really great to see them again! :) :) :)
On the bars point, The Last Waterhole in AMS totally rocks! wicked bands like Jewel in the Mire! wohoo! If I'm back I certainly know where I am heading at night people! :)
If I scan some pictures I'll post them here so you can see our sleepy faces! hahahaa
on another point, on wednesday i was told that finally and for sure, the western washington university (in Bellingham, 2 1/2 h from Seattle) in USA has accepted me for next year! YAY! so far it sounds great! Check www.wwu.edu if you are interested how that crappy place lost in the forest looks like :S (hey meeen I'm a city girl! ack!)
Going on with the plans of Mo&Co for this summer holidays :) Really looking for some more holidays! (already?? :S) But that'll have to wait till July! that sucks.
All I can say is that I'm a new person. I really needed those holidays away from Pamplona. To think. And it worked :D
As far as if I go to Western Washington University the course starts in mid september, I'd like to do something with my summer and I wanted to see if I could get again a job in amsterdam, but i think my mother won't be very happy with that, right???
